Planmeca PlanMill 50 S Brochure

Planmeca PlanMill® 35 is the ultimate partner for dental practices fabricating restorations from zirconium dioxide and other materials. The efficient single-spindle unit with both dry and wet milling capabilities offers an outstanding solution for achieving precise and high-quality restorations for all clinical findings.

Optimised for milling zirconia

Planmeca PlanMill 35 offers a comprehensive solution for dental professionals who prefer using zirconia for their posterior restorations. The unit allows dry milling zirconia with high-precision tools, eliminating the time-consuming phase of drying the material. The mill can also be used for wet milling a vast range of other materials– a true multifunctional solution for dental clinics of all sizes.

Capable of wet and dry milling

With Planmeca PlanMill 35, you can easily switch between dry milling zirconia and wet milling a wide range of ceramic and composite materials. For dry milling, the unit is equipped with a suction system, which removes the dust from the system during the fabrication process. The vacuum is also available as a retrofit, so you can start with wet milling and add dry milling capabilities to your clinic later. The choice is yours!

Suitable material for every indication

Planmeca PlanMill 35 supports a broad range of materials, such as glass ceramics, hybrid composite materials and zirconia. The unit utilises different milling strategies and speed for each material, which guarantees optimal fabrication and high-quality of the restoration. The single-spindle unit mills both sides of a block quickly, in only 11–13 minutes, and the linear motors and smart tool paths of the unit ensure all restorations fit precisely.

Future-proof investment

With Planmeca PlanMill 35, you can fabricate restorations for all your clinical indications directly at your practice – for years to come. The milling unit has been designed for continuous everyday milling and built from durable components. However, regular software updates and new features ensure the milling unit remains on the cutting edge of CAD/CAM dentistry also in the future.

Easy to operate

Planmeca PlanMill 35 can be operated by anyone working at the dental practice. The operator can simply choose a case on the integrated computer screen, and the unit shows the operator what kind of material should be inserted in the mill. If necessary, the unit also guides how to switch from wet to dry milling mode. Furthermore, the unit automatically selects proper tools for each restoration and replaces worn or broken tools.

Complete chairside solution

Planmeca PlanMill 35 is part of the Planmeca FIT® chairside system, which combines the entire CAD/CAM workflow from scanning the teeth to treatment design and manufacturing the restoration. With the system, dental professionals can produce restorations efficiently within a single patient visit. Integrated with Planmeca Romexis® software, restorative cases can be sent to the milling unit from any computer in the clinic and then fabricated directly from the design software.

Compatible with your current equipment

Thanks to the open technology of Planmeca products, Planmeca PlanMill 35 is easy to integrate with most dental equipment, design software and intraoral scanners. Furthermore, our smart Send to Mill software application enables smooth file transfers and ensures that restorations, which have been designed in 3rd party design software, are milled accurately.

Maximised uptime with guided maintenance

From daily cleanings and water changes to annual preventive maintenance, the Planmeca PlanMill 35 milling unit regularly informs the user of required mill maintenance. Updates on tool wear and block usage are also available.
